This book is not perfect and to be fair to my Baha'i friends I am also reading 'Thief in the Night' a classic Baha'i apologetics by William Sears - reading both while also referring to my Bible. Beckwith first presents a historical review, noting the most important events crucial in the formative years of this movement. Secondly, he examines the main doctrines of Baha'i in the light of Scripture, along with the Baha'is' use of the Bible in defense of their religion. In addition, he asks several important questions concerning the relationship between Christianity and Baha'ism:
